Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
Needs to be pulled in much closer, not just sliced off at the same distance.

Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
the middle will be 4 meters closer it says in the article

I assume the corners may move back a bit though

Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
1)Draw a line 3 metres from the cut pitch on all four sides of the ground.
2)Fill the space created up to the seating with ‘safe standing’
3)Train ‘safe standers’ to gob at opposition players

Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
Just been informed by a very reliable source that the claret pitch surround should be in by the 30th March for everton game pending no fuck ups

Alternatively ...

1) Stop trying to polish a fucking turd
2) Knock the fucker down and start again

Mace - People who own the stadium and have rented it out for athletics for the next 6 years may not be too impressed

being in the bin this is great news and hopefully the start of more improvements.
Great news about pitch surround as well.

Looks better in those pics, just need to sort the gaps at the side of the pitch.

Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
Come on lads let's not be too cynical. This news coupled with the pitch surround on the way is going to make the place feel a little more like home. Like t or not, we are stuck there now so any news like this should be seem as a positive step.

''really? does anyone actually give a fuck about the pitch surround?''

Yep, I do. Would much rather be looking out at a claret mat than a green one.

Lily Hammer 12:12 Mon Feb 18
Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
What Sven said.

The best possible turd polishing technique is to reverse engineer back from the pitch. And the club should make all and any plans to make this a safe standing plan in the long run. No point spending loads to reconfigure with seating, only for safe standing to be allowed and having to reconfigure all over again.

That picture looks better in the middle of the BML, but why not just shape it to reach 3m max from the pitch? It means the slope will be slightly flatter, but it surely won't be too flat, will it?

Mad Dog 12:18 Mon Feb 18
Re: Seats behind the goals changing, being squared off
Looks much better already like that.

Only drawback is the away fans will have better seating.

As I said when we first moved in, fuck them, shove them at the back and give our fans the better seats
